3 in stock - Almost gone!

When we use the words "Manichaean" or "Manichaeism", we rarely think of Mani, the 3rd-century Oriental painter, physician and philosopher whom the Chinese called "the Buddha of light" and the Egyptians "the apostle of Jesus".

Far from the clear-cut, unappealable judgments with which he is associated, his tolerant, humanist philosophy aimed to reconcile the religions of his time. It earned him persecution, torture and hatred. A thousand years later, the accusation of Manichaeism still led the Albigensians to the stake...

No one better than the author of Léon l'Africain, Samarcande (Prix des Maisons de la Presse 1988), and Le Rocher de Tanios (Prix Goncourt 1993), born in a Lebanon torn apart by fanaticism, could recount the adventure of this existence.

FAQ

Here are the answers to the most common questions I get asked, please review them and reach out to me if you need more info on something, I love to help you pick the right book, just for you!

Are the books New?

Yes, all the books that I sell during my bookfairs or online on my e-boutique are brand new.. You will be the very first to flip all the pages and enjoy the feeling of holding your own book in your hand.

What defines the prices of the books?

As a passionate small business owner, my goal is to offer a high level of quality imported from France at the best price. I understand that some people may be surprised by the difference of price between French and American books. In France, books are more expensive as authors and illustrators get larger copyright compensations. Also, imports cost quite a bit if you take into account the price of transport as well as the weight of what is being transported. I appreciate your constant support, when you choose sustainable small businesses over large corporations.

Do you have a shop?

My main way of meeting you is book fairs, festivals and private sales. Ordering online through my e-boutique is the best way to support French Authors and Small Minority Owned business like mine. I also have a physical location present in Orange County accessible via appointment only. Please contact me through text to get more information!
