“I’m Learning to Read with Sami and Julie” is a collection of short stories specially designed for children who are learning to read. The text is written in large print, with words clearly spaced apart and lines well spaced. The stories are short, funny, and very easy to read. Written with words appropriate to their reading level, the amount of text is reduced and adapted so that children stay motivated and gain confidence.
In addition to the short story, the book includes: tips for supporting the child during their early reading, an introduction to the characters, and at the end: “Did you understand the story?” to help the child make sense of what they’ve read and go beyond simple decoding, as well as a section titled “And you, what do you think?” with short questions to “get them thinking” or simply discuss the story.

Le texte est écrit en gros, les mots sont bien détachés les uns des autres et les lignes bien espacées. Les histoires sont courtes, drôles et très faciles à lire. Écrites avec des mots en adéquation avec leur progression, une quantité de texte à lire réduite et adaptée, pour que l’enfant reste motivé et prenne confiance.
