1 in stock - Almost gone!

This work is at once a novel, history, and poetry. In imagining the memoirs of a great Roman emperor, the author wanted to “recreate from the inside what 19th-century archaeologists did from the outside.” Judging his life as a man and his political work without complacency, Hadrian is well aware that Rome will one day perish, but his Roman realism and his humanism inherited from the Greeks make him feel the importance of thinking and serving until the end. "... I felt responsible for the beauty of the world,“ says this hero, whose problems are those of man throughout the ages: the mortal dangers that threaten civilizations from within and without, the quest for a harmonious balance between happiness and ”august discipline," between intelligence and will.

FAQ

Here are the answers to the most common questions I get asked, please review them and reach out to me if you need more info on something, I love to help you pick the right book, just for you!

Are the books New?

Yes, all the books that I sell during my bookfairs or online on my e-boutique are brand new.. You will be the very first to flip all the pages and enjoy the feeling of holding your own book in your hand.

What defines the prices of the books?

As a passionate small business owner, my goal is to offer a high level of quality imported from France at the best price. I understand that some people may be surprised by the difference of price between French and American books. In France, books are more expensive as authors and illustrators get larger copyright compensations. Also, imports cost quite a bit if you take into account the price of transport as well as the weight of what is being transported. I appreciate your constant support, when you choose sustainable small businesses over large corporations.

Do you have a shop?

My main way of meeting you is book fairs, festivals and private sales. Ordering online through my e-boutique is the best way to support French Authors and Small Minority Owned business like mine. I also have a physical location present in Orange County accessible via appointment only. Please contact me through text to get more information!
